I once met a bunch of people whose mannerisms and appearances suggested that they were from hardest and deepest urban environment. They were completely gangster and would have given the bluds and crips a run for their money. I asked them where they were from and they said "Rockland County, NY". From that day on, I thought Rockland County was a harsh urban ghetto similar to Harlem in the 70s or Compton in California. When I visited my pals from Rockland County for the first time, I noticed that this was not urban at all. Rockland is a complete suburb with white picket fences, enormous lawns, and luxury automobiles strewn on the streets. The ghettos of Rockland county was just a fable. The following algorithm is an urban terrain generating piece which takes the color profiles of images taken by Flickr! that were tagged as "rockland"
