Animal photographs are a lasting favorite for decoration, but have become somewhat cliché as fine art. I have tried to approach the subject matter as a form of portraiture, relying on expressive aspects of the subjects (color, physical presence) and their environment, to give personality to each image. That personality is summed up with the use of a phrase or word that embodies the feeling of the subject.
